Ronald Jason Cook was born in 1970 and grew up in a rural suburb of Los Angeles.  For most of his childhood he live on a ranch, spending a lot of his time outdoors surrounded by nature.  At age ten Jason started experimenting with different mediums and techniques that would eventually establish him as a mixed media artist.  His work includes sculpture, ceramics, and still life painting.

Jason's "Pie Art" series began as a painting for an art class project.  After winning award in school and local art shows, Jason went on to create the  "Pie Art" sculptures.  They are a blend of wood, ceramic, and acrylic pain.  This original creation consists of a circular centerpiece, surrounded by six pie shaped wall sculptures.  The "Pie Art" series embraces the millennium and our changing times.  Each slice of the pie tells a story that depicts a particular aspect of life.  The seven pieces are mounted on a large disc, enabling the viewer to see the pie.

In 1992, While attending collage as an art student, Jason was recruited by Hanna Barbara Productions to work on the animated series "Fish Police".  Jason's experience in this medium influenced him to take his art to another dimension, becoming known for his unique style.

Relocating to Arizona in 1994, Jason was inspired by the southwest desert landscape.  He began focusing his attention on textured acrylic painting, and three dimensional wall sculptures.  Jason's three dimensional wall sculptures are made of wood and metallic paint, creating the illusion of metal.  Jason is a master at masking this medium, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary.

Jason's accomplishments and contributions include awards, certificates of achievement, of private and public commissions and donations to raise money for charities.  His work can be seen in galleries, exhibits and art shows across the country.
